Hi all, has anyone here been to Llandow race circuit to take pics and could offer advice as to where the better places are on the track to take shots. Whats the accessability like for a photographer?
I've had a look on their site at the circuit and can see a few potential places ie The bus stop, and maybe the chicane on the back straight. Although there might be potential as the cars come out of the sweeping bends.
Any advice would be appreciated.

i ve taken photos from the control tower, wasnt very sucessful as it was very windy and couldn't hold the lens still. however i was an official on the event.
one place where the cars were having lots of action is below control tower 90 left was the merge comes in.
think personall it trial and error.

to get on to the circuit i would approach the club running the event. i know wamc is holding a sprint there soon so have a look on there web page.

are you talking about the track on the left or on the right when you walk in i raced there last year on the track on the right while drifiting was going on the left

looking at there site it is the left track the main one there might be if you are lucky a race day on the one on the right bikes normally rode there so keep a eye out for it as for the track the main big one i cant remember but it is good to watch what day are you going

Ross2 thanks for the info.
I'm hoping to go Saturday, the Welsh counties have a sprint day there, Caterham/Lotus 7's. I'll try to contact the organisers.

wegotitugetit to be honest i've never been in the circuit so i cant tell you which track the sprint will be on. But i do know one track is the karting track whilst the other is the general use track.
I got in touch with the circuit and they say that as its an MSA organised event i will have to see the organisers to see if i can get trackside. Otherwise i can only shoot from the carpark!:thumbsdown:

Ive driven llandow and had pics taken at a day organised by a car club, theres lots of places to shoot near the bus stop area and a few corners after if they are allowing it.
 
ok the track you will need is the one on the right the one you see in the photo is the big main one which is on your left its a tight but fast track riding there last year and is a good track will try and find you a photo or a link for you

forget the track that your a looking at it is totally diffrent the go cat circuit has plenty of places to look and take photos at as most of the track is really close with no barriers about 4 -5 foot so ideal to take photos
 
ok here is the best i can get for you

the circuit closest is the go cart circuit pretty much the right stright and bottom stright you wont get to but the rest is open so plenty of places to stand

as you can see in the background there is the main circuit which is on the left when you drive in you need to be on the right when you drive in

Thanks wegotitugetit all help is greatfully accepted. The track they are using Saturday is the main one not the karting one. You have PM.
