Loch Coruisk

Meant to say - probably the best viewpoint for L Coruisk is from a very rocky hill, called Sgurr na Stri, at the seaward end of the loch, but is not a climb for a casual walker.
Also the boat will land you at the jetty in sea Loch Scavaig and you'd need to get over the Scavaig river by boulder hopping (impossible when in spate) to get to Sgurr na Stri.
I'd walk from the jetty round to L Coruisk and try to get a little elevation on that shore. Should be able to find a spot after walking for about 20 mins.

Plenty seals in L Scavaig and the water is crystal clear.

I've been there a few times, once I got really muddy but not too wet, another time I got soaked to near the waist but not all that muddy. The last time I got covered in mud and soaked. I'm sure you get the idea.

This is all from the jetty and each time was completely breathtaking and well worth the walk, climb, scramble.

Thanks both.
I have emailed the boat owner to see if he does winter trips as I'll be up there in a few weeks myslef.
I don't mind a climbing but the location looks to good to miss. I am guessing that I maybe out of luck due to the time of the year.

It's a two hour walk in from Elgol and there is the "Bad Step" to negotiate. Fall off that and you are in the drink.
Going by boat you'll get the benefit of good views of the Cuillin on the approach.
The pic of the Cuillin from the beach at Elgol is a classic view.

I have taken the boat from Elgol. If I recall, you didn't get ages to explore but luckily the views are pretty fine from the south end of the loch looking north.

If I can give one bit of advice, it would be do not drop a camera between the boat and the slipway as you climb in...
