I'm off to London for a few meetings and have a bit of spare time. I'm taking my camera and can be anywhere around Embankment.

While I lived in London for a while I took up photography after I left so can anybody give me some ideas of the best shots / places to shoot for a first time couple of hours in London

Have a look at the links in the posts of the last couple of pages of THIS meeting thread. We were all out and about in London Saturday night and the links are to some of the pictures, so will give you an idea of where is worth shooting. We covered most of the Thames from London eye to tower bridge, plus greenwich way. BAsically anywhere along the southbank will be good first time, day or night.
