In response to my un straight image - In my defence it was raining quite heavily and a straight image was not high on my list of priorities

I used a Tamron 150-600mm for that Gull shot, so maybe a tad compressed

I use…

Compression will affect the apparent distances
subjects may have from the sensor but will never
affect the horizon.

I was asking the question as I know that sometimes
the wind will play tricks on the perception of the hori-
zon at closer range but in this case…

Nice set of shots. In the interests of critique...(not sure if you care because I had a look at your flickr and you seem to know what you're doing, but what the heck)

#1: Would like to see you get lower to get more on eye level with the bird
#2: Nice shot
#3: Again I like
#4: Beautiful light but the OOF branch is catching my eye so I'd have cloned it out
#5: What is it? I recognise it but can't think. I'd have worked a bit more on the shadows of the head to bring out a little more detail
#6: Sorry not working for me
#7 and #8: Look fine to me.
