Long Tailed Tits

I posted last week saying how I had bought a selection of bird feeders for the garden. I am amazed that in a week they have brought so many birds into the garden. We now have a pair of resident wood pidgeons, all the usual suspects but the most surprising of them all was when I looked into the garden this morning. Not brilliant quality as I had the wrong lens and I did not want to miss them!

There was 5 or 6 of them all together and they were only there for less than a minute!

dont think you can complain about that if they have been once they will be back just be ready with a better lens for next time

Nice one. Long-tailed tits nearly always seem to turn up in large-ish groups. There's a tree down the road from me where you often see ten or more of them together.

Yep LTTs can often form into large groups in the winter months. They can be very unpredictable though so be prepared, they may not be too regular visitors.
