looking for a shoulder sling/strap

Have you seen their video showing you the strength of them?? I've had no problem with them

OP/Tech straps and slings are awesome as they are exceedingly modular.

Regular strap : https://www.amazon.co.uk/OP-TECH-Pr...486591886&sr=8-3&keywords=optech+camera+strap
Convert it to sling option : https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B003IOYXVM/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I like these over and above BR straps as they have two anchor points, i regular anchor to a heavy lens and to the body itself.

I've gone for the strap and connectors so it can be sling or normal (y)

I should also say thanks for posting the links @Sharky, that's exactly what I bought

Hopefully it'll be just thing for you :)

Just to reinforce the choices another advantage of other systems is it doesn't need anything threaded into the tripod mount if relevant to you. So for me all my arca plates / L plates have a lug on them and i've bought loads of extra "uni loops" so i can clip and unclip to them while working with a tripod without faff.

E.g.

Also i invested some XL extension connectors so if i'm going very light i can just use an XL extension connector between the uni loops on the camera body so it becomes a hand strap only.

And (hehe) if you have decent sized binoculars you can use the system on those too and a reporter clip addon is useful for gopro's / small bodies attached to a backpack.

Just to reinforce the choices...

Wow, very informative & detailed. I kept clicking the links and coming back to read a bit more. Must have taken a while to type all that and add the links. I really appreciate it and it will help others to choose too.

Mines coming tomorrow, can't believe I can be this excited about a strap... sad I know :) gonna sit down and fiddle then I can browse all the extras. Clicked on Op/Tech on amazon and it shows everything they sell. A good hour of browsing LoL
Would like a decent set of bins at some point but having just bought 2 D500's and the 300f4 & 200-500, bins will have to wait :)

a mate of mine who has always used swarovski now swears by the hawke ED glass ranges he says there is next to no difference in clarity etc.
he at present uses the sapphire's but says the frontier and endurance range are not far behind at all and optically very good indeed

Ohhh, that's interesting. We don't want to go over the top so will have to have a look at them. We went away with the in-laws recently and they had a cracking pair (possibly opticron and 8x42), made me want some after nosing through watching which way distant birds were going.

Any clue what sort of magnification?

Cheers

Well the strap has arrived but the extras are coming separately today for some odd reason. (extras changed from 'out for delivery' to despatched about an hour ago, so much for amazon prime!)

Love how it looks (got the nature colour), seems well made and feels super comfy for the 10 mins I've walked round the house with it on :D

(I know the pic showing how it attaches is OOF, used my phone without me specs on!)
