Looking for locations for seascapes

Hi,
i know that title seems quite obvious that i should get along to the coast, but bascially int he north west of the uk and want to head out somewhere regional that allows for some good long exposures with interesting surroundings.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

You're only about three quarters of an hour from the North Wales coast... Plenty of locations to shoot. Point of Ayr lighthouse in Talacre is one obvious suggestion. There's also New Brighton on the Wirral with Perch Rock lighthouse definitely worth a visit too. :)

yeah, pretty well situated for the coast, its just the actual locations, have been out to Talacre beach a few times, will look into your other suggestions and if anyone has any more please feel free to add them.

Morecambe Bay? not a million miles from you and beautiful place. some amazing sunsets, bird sculptures, boats, midland hotel plus loads more for foreground interest?

EDIT: couple of my shots both from Morecambe, as you can see I’m not up to much yet but learning and helps living so close to a cracking spot. Do a Google image search for plenty of inspiration on Morecambe sunset shots
