looks like micro four thirds just got (more) interesting...

Now THAT is a whole new development for affordable 3D photography!

Looks very exciting!

Probably going to get a load of people on here going "Ugh... Pointless.. Why ever would I need that?!?!"

But I think that is pretty nifty, especially coupled with the capability of HD video. Will keep an eye out for this one!

TBH I'm not a 3D fanatic and I think the only films i want to watch in 3D are war films and sci-fi's.

i do think panasonic have a good idea though and even though its quite niche at the moment there will eventually be a good amount of followers, reading on the engadget comments there's about 2/3 people who like it out of 100 lol

The Sony NEX-3 and NEX-5 will have a firmware update available shortly for 3D photos (recommended viewed on their Sony 3D TV of course  ) But that enables 3D photographing and also on the panorama mode too

curious to see how this will turn up....

This will work nicely if you can have the same image both 2D and 3D at the same time.

this is why I am not liking the 3D revolution, we need to have 2D and 3D for a choice because otherwise we would have to have two versions of everything; camera's, TV's, computers, media systems etc.
