Loupe magnification

Which magnification would be best for viewing 35mm slides on a light table? I want to be able to view the entire slide in one so it’s not for viewing sharpness. I was going to buy a x10 but it seems like it would be too magnified and wouldn’t allow me to see the entire slide

You can also try using a standard 50mm or 35mm lens reversed.

In that situation, I use a loupe that's 8x. It has a clear rectangular base.
