LRG complete, how do I change the background?

Can i change the background ie the round grad on the LRG complete shell?

Yes. Check the Color Palette Panel.

Center Color - The center color represents the round splash that radiates from the center of the site to the edges. This splash is a gradient between the Center Color and the Background color.

Center Opacity - This slider allows the opacity of the Center Color to allow the Background color to show through and make the Center Color more subdued. Experiment with this setting and view the results on several non-calibrated monitors to be sure you have the setting you want. 65% works well as a starting point.

Can you not add a background image?

There is a background image option but it doesnt seem to change it.
Although maybe I need to upload the shell and jpg to see the changes online.

Yes I think you will need to upload the shell and JPG to see the update. I don't think the Lightroom preview displays it. Also you have to upload the JPG manually as Lightroom doesn't handle this itself. See page 39 of the manual.
