I have a number of galleries on the side menu, but I want to have a link on the top bar to a separate gallery that is not listed on the side menu.

How is this possible?

Hi Mate

Fellow LRG user here. Short answer is, I don't think it is possible. Any folder that is housed in your 'galleries' folder will display on the left menu.

I've a question for you - I notice that for your site your name and what you do etc appears on the browser tab/ task bar, whereas for me it always displays 'Pages | aboutme' which is the page I'm using to display as my shell homepage. When you first load up my site it does flash up with DanD photography etc for a split second, then changes to as above.

Any ideas?

If I understand you right, I have "Richard Grebby - Photographer / Filmmaker / Editor" set in the Site name section and the site name font size at 1 and the same colour as the background. That way it cant be seen.

I just wish the production on LRG hadnt ground to a halt.

Yeah it's a bit of a shame that. It's done me fairly well but I have been a bit disappointed with the support and development. I guess you can't complain too much about a free product though. I made a couple of suggestions which were supported by a number of their support forum members but unfortunately they never made it into the product.

I'm currently working on an ASP.NET replacement of my own though. The Flash site has been causing me some compatibility problems with clients not being able to view their photos. I've put together a Lightroom Web Exporter that uploads directly to an ASP.NET site which I think is going to be a quicker and more widely browser compatible since it renders an HTML client.

I think I would have switched to another gallery builder some time ago if it hadn’t been for the great integration LRG has with Lightroom and PayPal purchasing. It certainly makes for an easy publish and purchase workflow.

Andy.

I know what you mean about its simplicity, I just dont have the time or the money to get a better site though.
