Quite worrying actually. Otherwise (i.e when burning/loading tunes onto iTunes, it sounds normal. When it takes a CD it makes an awful clunking sound, almost like I expect the CD to come out chewed up. Is this normal?
If the latter, mine has always done that since i got it, and all the other white one's i've used have also done it. I was setting up an alu one last week and it was much better.
Worst part i found was when i had a CD in the drive, picked the laptop up by the side and almost popped the CD off of the clip? that holds in in the drive - didn't sound good and thought it would come out scratched, luckily not!
