Macbook charger problems

I have a macbook pro out of warantee and yesterday, I realised that the green light on the charger plug wasn't working and the laptop wasn't charging. I tried changing the mains lead to see if it was a fuse but that didn't work.

Any other ideas or is it off to ebay for another charger?

Mine does this now and again, but usually sorts itself if I unplug/plug from the wall socket. Had to replace mine a while ago as the end was fraying, think it was £65 from MacWarehouse.

If you're near an Apple shop it is always worth popping in, the Geniuses are really helpful.

And remember there are other Chargers out there that do the same job, by companies like Griffin and the like

Also remember that if you are in the UK then under the EU trading laws then you actually have a 3 year warranty, I got my logic board replaced last month and it is two years old and I didn't have Applecare, you just have to talk to the right person that knows what they are talking about :D

ReallY?

I just ordered a new charger from ebay as I can't get to an Apple store quickly enough.

It's 6 years according to Consumer Direct, that's how long it should be fit for the purpose for.
