Yes
anyone use a MacBook Neo for editing and a reccomedation for low cost software ?

only want to do basic editing to enhance my snaps
 
Doesn't the Neo have "Preview" installed?

That's what I use to edit my pictures.
 
Apple Photos is free, I've been using it for a few years now (since I retired my Aperture compliant iMac)

But for many people, such as myself, it's all that's required.

After sixty years of photography I've realised that I'm not interested in perfection. Not that I have anything against it. As the old saying goes: "it's fine for those as like it"!

It's called 'Preview', for me that says it all but if it works for you that's great for you. :)
 
Before I would even consider getting any other software I try what has already been given to me free, why put more software on the laptop if you don't need it. Personally preview doesn't cut it, but Photos certainly does.

I’d agree, for basic stuff Photos is more than enough.
