Macbook Pro - touchbar

Good morning,

I am getting a Macbook Pro with touch bar this week and need to know if anyone can recommend a USB/SD card reader all in one for it please and with links if possible.

usual consensus is the lexar pro. but that wont have usb-c so you'll need a dongle.

I've been using this one without any issue (also gives 2 usb 2.0 ports)

Doesn't the Lexar have a detachable cable? If so replace the cable don't buy a dongle!

good point. although the dongle may come in handy connecting other bits too.

The looks a good starting point, I have just purchased it to test it. Picked up Macbook last night, cannot wait to use it.

Something like https://www.kickstarter.com/project...pact-thunderbolt-3-usb-c-hub-for-m?ref=erm7x7 might be a good way to go too... if you do look at these mini "docking stations" then worth looking at this one as it utilises two Thunderbolt 3 ports while many only use one Thunderbolt 3 and one USB 3.1.

I was looking at these to start with but UK reviews were not good on the ones I looked at. May have to do an import. Will see how the cheapo one fair tonight when I get home.

I've been using this for a good few weeks, it's pretty robust and very fast if you're using UHS-II cards, not sure if the reviewer has tiny hands but I've never had an issue removing cards.
