Budget and qaulity, older version without motor.

I've just bought the Tamron and it's a great lens... although I'm still getting used to it.

I'd definately recommend it for the quality and the price... it's also a well regarded portrait lens.

The Tamron is a classic lens and highly regarded.

You'll probably find the extra length useful as well.
