Macro lens for Nikon D3200

The lack of VR isn't a huge problem either, it (VR) is of limited value at Macro focal distances. Only problem is tracking a 2nd hand one down - I waited about 18 months for one to turn up locally!

Yeah tbh there aint no rush but am going to get one for my birthday in may. Its only when ever i go out to take pictures with my friend there always a few macro shots that i cant take etc and would like to do more stuff at home in the light box.

Okay mate thanks, like i say will be getting one in about a month so will bare that in mind cheers :)
 
If you got £400, then get the 105mm Nikon 2nd hand, else you will always be wondering how much better it is in comparison to the tammy/siggy. Remember its an amazing portrait lens too and on a sunny day it will deal with a lot of flare, while the others won't cope as well. I'm a brand snob, so I'm bias, but I honestly think the 105 is one of the best lenses in my bag. :)
