I've just booked a day on macro at the Glasgow Botanics with another company so guess I will be shooting flowers. No idea what it will be like but looking forward to it.

Not to sound funny but tbh I'd save your money and just get out there an practice and before you do go buying anything have a word with the regulars in the macro forum see if there's anyone lives close by who is happy to give a 1-1.

I'm in the Birmingham area and more than happy to help if needed but as you don't give a location in your profile I don't know how useful that is to you sadly.
