Magic - fake photo?

Someone posted pics of this on here the other day asking for critique.

The horizon is off on the 1st pic!:lol:

Deffo looks fake to me, as you say the exposure on the magician doesnt seem to match the exposure of the rest of the picture, he is much too brightly lit for the surroundings.

perhaps we should take photos of ourselves and photoshop them in to odd places and pretend its magic :p

It was filmed for a TV show, so I think the big lights they used account for the overexposed look of the still from a different angle.

It's real, can vouch for the photographer. How he does it however obviously isn't the same way as Jesus. As for the lighting - tv lights sounds like a very good explanation.

It`s on the Sun`s website :D

Looks fake, but probably due to exta lighting. Mythbusters showed how you could do this, by fixing a dark, reflective, plastic platform just below the water's surface.

It looks fake (not the image) because I'm sure I can see the outline of whatever it is that he's standing on...

Happy to be proven wrong though!

'Looks fake'.... next you'll be telling me Santa Clause isn't real...;)

Or the Easter Bunny and Tooth Fairy. Please don't tell me they are bogus as well.

As for the image, I think there is a clue in the title - ILLUSION.:)

'Looks fake'.... next you'll be telling me Santa Clause isn't real...;)
I'm sure Santa Claus is very real to many people :D
What I mean by looks fake is that the photo has errors in it which make it look fake, rather than it being a perfect fake photo which looks real

he is actually a great magician - if you watch some of his stuff its amazing. though walking on water is bit iffy!

"of course it's fake ". Well, no **** Sherlock. The question and point of magic is to make you think "how on Earth?".

There's enough amatuer video and stills footage floating about on the net to say that whilst the trick is an illusion, the photo isn't faked. You don't get to try this sort of stuff next to the Embankment without the mob noticing.

And the photographer's bona fida press rather than a random ;) It's cool, anyone see the program? As for Jesus.. I can't possibly comment on here ;)

The photo is not fake.

The shot, however, is a good setup.
