Male tufted duck (Nikon 1.7TC test shots!)

Having just acquired a 1.7TC for my 300 F2.8 lens I found this fella to be a good subject to test out the new found 510mm reach!

Thank's yes some good light would be a bonus for sure

They seem ok to me but I not one for adding too much sharpness, is there any in particular one you think or just in general?

There is definitely a little loss of sharpness using the teleconverter though which I noticed straight away, but the added reach sort of balances out this?

Cheers Graeme, I thought I would try the middle of the road one first, but would also like the full set at some stage! I just wish the 1.4 wasn't so expensive?
