I've never photgraphed there as a spectator, but have seen spectators togging at:

Exit of charlies, all the way down to Edwinas.
Exit of Edwinas
Exit of Shaws Hairpin
and around the Bus stop (although your quite high up there)

thanks for the info :)

Mallory is great as you can cover a good area by foot during the race to get some nice angles.
Everyone normally sits on the bank at Edwina's but i like to work between Edwina's and Shaw's and can cover this section well during a race.

Will be there this weekend i hope so if you see some skinny bloke running up and down with a 300mmf2.8 it will be me :D

lol will do, talking of lenses, i have a 300mm plus the 3 teleconverters, what sort of length do you end up using can you get close to the track?

You can get close to the track and seem to remember i have even used a 70-200 at some points there in the past.
Will be taking with me a 24-70, 70-200 and 300 f2.8 with 1.4x and 2x TC.

cool, thats what i was going to take anyway, although i can only afford the 300mm f4  ;)

Hi Dave

Glens got it right I reckon.

Its my local track ( nearest ) and a lot of crashes happen going into Gerards, the hairpin is good as is the bus stop although you are a bit high up there.

Edwinas catches a lot of them out when they miss there braking point.

Its one of the few tracks where you can get so close to the action and a 300mm should be plenty long enough.

sounds great, im looking forward to this, i love tying different things!
