Has anyone here used one of these, does it work and hold a head after you've adjusted it without slipping?

I can't imagine it working properly with a large modifier, be interested to know any user feedback, Thanks

The boom arm and the bracket are sturdy enough for medium to large modifiers no problem. You will however need to ensure that the weight of the red metal counterweight is at least as heavy as the weight of your light + modifier.

I got two of those, the next best thing to a
coffee machine in studio.

I recommend a large base and very sturdy
light stand on wheels.
ounterweight is at least as heavy as the weight of your light + modifier.
I solved that by using sandbags to stabilize
the stand and the weight is used only to ba-
lance the boom.

…a must!

yes they're industry standard and work great. A stand on wheels is practically essential. Ideally a double windup with wheels.
