Hello
Relatively new to photography. Have a severly 'entry level' camera - Nikon D40. Recently burrowed into my grandads photography cupboard and found a telescopic lens he used for his photography back in the day. It fits! However, i expected the camera would not recognise it, and it didnt. Says no lens attached. I always considered the lens even on digital cameras to be completely manual, couldnt understand why a manual focus lens wouldnt be recognised... - is there any solution to getting a old, highly expensive lens to be compatible with a digital SLR?
