Yes
So the Martians have landed and are now running the world. Unfortunately they have a bit of downer on Togs and have decreed that only ONE lens to be used and owned per Tog.

So, which do you keep? Which ones do you chuck out? Remember this single lens is yours for all time no swapping. Let's see which one comes out on top as the one the majority would use.

If I had to choose just the one then it's the 70-200 2.8 Nikon.

Feel free to play along.

Chris

70-200, under our new martian overlords manufacturers can never be mentioned......

I suppose I'd go for a 50mm and I'd normally pick a wide aperture one but as I can only have the one lens I suppose it'll have to be a 50mm f2.8 macro. I'd use it as a standard lens on my A7 and as an equivalent FoV 100mm macro on my MFT cameras assuming the Martians will let me have more than one camera.

Like Simon, my lens is yet to be created - however, I would go further since we're in the realm of theoreticals! 8-1500mm, f/1 (constant), 0.5kg, stabilised and with assorted built in filters.

Until such a beast is created though, either the 18-135 or the 24-120 on whichever system I'm allowed to keep.

I'm keeping all my lenses and heading to the hills to start a resistance movement

(but in the meantime sigma 50-500)

I will join you and the Nikon f2.8 70-200mm makes a pretty nifty weapon with its hood on.
well if ya want a hefty weapon ....

60mm f2.8 micro on FF body

Nikkor f1.4 50mm AI, which I own, or Noct-Nikkor f1.2 58mm which I would like to own, but am never likely to!

Who cares.... if they get rid of "Togs"... more power to them.

My Oly 17mm f1.8. I like to get close and personal and take in a decent perspective. Super quick she is as well and fits in my pocket.

Until last week, I'd have said my 50mm ART.

Shooting some graffiti walls in a narrow space made me rethink my policy on zooms.

Therefore, I'd (reluctantly??) say, my Nikon 24-70. But, I'm joining Big Soft Moose in the hills so I can have 2 lenses.

My much loved and minty Micro Nikkor 60mm f/2.8D AF, the sharpest lens I own!
