Mass deleting

I am h aving a mental block here how do I mass delete files from my computer I want to tidy up my pictures and need to delete lots of pictures in 1 file what do I do Heeeelp

Click on each one whilst holding down the Ctrl key, if wanting to pick one by one, if a whole folders worth press Ctrl 'A' which will select all the files within a folder

If they are in one folder- use edit> select all (or Crtl+A) and then hit delete.

I only want to leave 4 files in the folder am I able to do this without clicking 100 times for each selection do I not click and drag then highlight somewhere.

If the pics are in the same folder and they are next to each other - left click on the first one then hold down shift and left click on the last one. Those 2 pics plus everything in between will be selected. Press the delete button on your keyboard.
If you want to add individual pics to the selection hold down Ctrl and left click on the pic, to remove a selected pic hold down Ctrl and left click on it.

You can also hold down the left mouse button and drag over the pics you wish to select.

To select all pics in a folder use Ctrl A

Press Crl+A to select them all, then hold down crtl- and click the files/folders you want to keep.

Perhaps move the four files to a new folder,then right click on the folder to be deleted and hit delete

For what you want - click on any file in the folder to ensure that you have the folder selected then hold down Ctrl and press the A key, this will select all the files. Now hold down the Ctrl key and left click one by one on the 4 files you want to keep, this will deselect them. Then hit the delete key on the keyboard.

note that just pressing del will send them to the recycle bin and not actually save you any space. if you want to permanently delete do shift+del.
