...or that should be massive indecision rather than massive lens....
I've got a family event coming up in a couple of weeks and as I won't be drinking  I thought it'd be an excuse to hire a lens that I wouldn't normally have access to and amuse myself taking some pictures.
I was considering either the Nikon 24-70 2.8 or the 70-200 2.8 VRII and I've got a D60. The event happens to be a wedding but I am NOT there in any other capacity than a guest i.e. the photo bit is purely for my benefit.
Now I'm leaning towards the 70-200 but I'm wondering if it will be too tight on a crop sensor. I like the idea of being able to take some fairly candid stealth mode pictures but will I just end up with close-ups of noses? I hear great things of the 24-70 but wonder if that range is wasted on a crop?
Looks like a nice church and country hall setup (all in the same grounds) so if it's not raining/snowing/foggy could be some good outside opportunities (Prestwold Hall, Loughborough for those that know it).
Shall I go with the 70-200?
