Hey all,

I have reached the point where I want to learn EVERYTHING and totally master natural light. When i'm shooting a model some shots can be a fluke, the only realthing I have learnt is to shoot in the shade for nice soft shadows.

I have tried amazon but couldnt really find anything, Whats the best books, tutorials and any other stuff you can think of to help master natural light?

Take along your own gear and mix `em in with the big old softbox in the sky.

The problem is I get good photos (model ones) but sometimes im not sure why. I really want to learn the relationship with sun, cloud and skin etc. Knowing this will help me get great ones every time, well nearly ;). I always shoot in the shade but sometimes I dont get the nice soft shadows and sometimes I do. It's like this place in Eastbourne called the italian gardens. Here is a link, http://www.facebook.com/pages/manage/updates.php?id=130355525459&sent=1&e=0#/photo.php?pid=3705154&id=130355525459 its just the first 3 or 4. The place just always as amazing light and lovely soft shadows. Id like to know if it was the white walls bouncing light around and stuff.

When they work through that particular setup they show the difference from each element, so no, it's not a case of just eliminating the shadows by use of the diffusion panel. The hairlight from the reflector adds a lot.

Fabric, expanded polystyrene, and card or plastics with a matt surface are all materials you can use for subtle effects.

In that case I shall have a good read :). Thank you.
