More importantly, I brought all the high keys
on the car at the same mathematical level.

I like it but perhaps a bit under exposed with loss of detail in the lowlights for me.
Have you thought about a 16:9 Aspect Ratio crop?

Is there any detail left in the front alloy, adjacent to the door, that can be pulled back?

no detail left in the wheel so ive added it in with photoshop best i can
