Minimum spec for laptop - tethered shooting

What would be the spec, in terms of screen size, etc. for a laptop to use tethered? Long battery life, low-cost, etc. would be great.
 
Netbook. Anything with a USB port should do. Processing would be a different matter though ;)
 
Sorry, forgot to mention that I have a netbook (great battery life), which has a 10 inch screen but really need something with a bigger screen. I'm thinking 12/13 inch, maybe, and not 15/16 - I need something that is portable/easily bagged.
 
Prefer windows or mac?

I've heard of some decent reviews of Acer's Timeline 4830 series. It's a 14" screen, available in various specs
