If so, can somebody tell me more about the MobileMe Control Panel for Windows ??

yes and..... what do you want to know? Once set up, I don't see a need to revisit the control panel.
 
OK, I may be very thick today, but where/how do I access the control panel ?
 
If properly installed -

Start button, Control Panel. And there should be a MobileMe icon in the CP

It is very pricey I agree, I use mine though and I'm coming to my third year .mac/mobileme.
I really like the mail software, I expect there are cheaper and possibly better alternatives I have just never looked! Maybe I should? :shrug:
 
A word of warning for anyone using MobileMe with their iPhone that is thinking of stopping the subscription (like myself).

Before allowing your account to lapse, make sure you 'Disconnect' your account from your phone.

If you don't, when your account expires you will lose from your phone anything you entered via the web portal such as contacts, appointments, reminders etc.

I know someone who found out the hard way, and they are still re-entering most of it now!
 
hmm sky do a simipar scheme, i think...i need to read through it more..
 
I use mobileme on Mac and Iphone and love it cant do without it and for £49 it not bad really
 
i used it for the free trial, but its really not worth the money ( i think it works out as £60, probably more now the £ has crashed against the $)
it was useful having 20gig of webspace but that was about it. The online gallery was a bit crap, the e-mail was pretty pointless and i can already sync my info with my iphone anyway without needing mobileme.
It was also really hard to get rid of it once i cancelled it. I cant get 'aperture' to permantly stop trying to sync with it.
To be honest I think apple should give it away free with a mac.
