Model portfolio inspiration

In a moment of madness (well drunk actually) I offered to do some portfolio shots for an aspiring model. I know she wants something a bit out of the ordinary, which is fine, and I've got some ideas, but could do with a few more.

Can anyone recommend a few sites that might be worth trawling through, just for a poke in the right direction for further ideas?

Try either model mayhem or purestorm. Purestorm actually have an excelent article on what a model needs for a portfolio. Might point you in the right direction. You could do worse than pick up a copy of vogue for current trends.

That's a good idea, thanks Ali , I think she's into more alternative stuff so I might look for a more yoof orientated mag. I'll go to Smith's this morning and see how long I can peruse before I get thrown out

have you asked her to point you to the kind of photography she has seen elsewhere that she likes? might save a lot of time...

We do that for research for shoots at college. Get people to email you links/pics of what they have in mind
