Just wondering what you guys have as your workflow for this. You hire a model be it tfp or money you finish the shoot then the model goes home. At the mo I import into the pc go through the images cull them then edited about 30 of them then send them to the model I've been told this is wrong and that I should show the model the 30 images unedited get them to pick there top ten then edit just them ten ? I've only done two model shoots so I'm new to this sort of photography.

30 edits?! That's a lot of work. I give 4-5 edits for part-paid. 10-12 for TF. None for a fully paid model, unless she deserves a "tip".

I tend not to look at the straight away and I'll edit all the ones I like and the email the model small versions the post a cd of all the ones I like for printing. Most models don't bother with a cd as most ports are all done online. Model gets all the shots I like.

I've got this down now to a more manageable number models get 10 to 12 images within 1 to 2 weeks of the shoot and then if I'm not doing anything on an evening I may edit a few more and send them to the model which goes down very well. I've done 4 model shoots now with another 1 tonight.

Normally if it's a TFP shoot I'll tell the model up front that she'll get 10-12 hi-res images on a CD but in reality I send them all the ones I edit for myself. Typically that would be 25-30 although I'm trying to be stricter on myself not editing so many. Some hope :(

From the few I've done, this is what I do also. Everything I deem good enough I send to them also if it's TFP.
