I am right in thinking that if you have a LCD thats is a "TN" panel, it's not gonna help much.
As an IPS panel if far better and needs calibrating every now and then ??

Calibration will help any monitor.
 
Very interested in this. I have an iMac 27" and if people think it's worth it I'd like to try it.

This is how I understand the procedure:

All screens are calibrated in the factory, but it depends on how well this was done and how big the sample variation is (one fits all) - that's the hardware calibration. At home you instruct your software driver in order to calibrate your monitor. The exemption are some specialist monitors (for example many Eizo screens) that can be hardware calibrated at home as well.

As I said, all consumer screens will benefit from calibration and that includes Macs.
 
I had a pm from Deadpan on 13 December asking for my address etc, and I told him by pm the same day, that I didn't need the calibration software and I asked him to contact the next person on the list.

I never received it and I have a copy of his pm and my reply.

So, I'm sorry, I don't know what he's done with it. And I'm also sorry for not updating this page.

I think we should be looking for a 7 day turnaround....maximum.

I also think if you no longer require the calibrator you need to ask for your name to be removed.

I have just got this. When i download the Express and plug the device in it asks for my name, company and password. Now the password key is on the box but when i complete all the details it doesnt give me the option to to continue/next.. Anyone have this and how did they solve the issue.

Just removing myself from the list, decided to buy an i1Display 2 in the end. I'd highly recommend one since I've now calibrated my desktop, my laptop, my office mac, my two additional monitors, my LCD tv, my dads plasma, my brothers plasma, several mate's LCD's (they gave me a donation too - so the i1 is paying for itself). So there could be an incentive for you guys to offset the cost of the new one - also I cant recommend highly enough calibrating your flatscreen tv, the difference is amazing.

Not at all, I was happy enough with the results to buy the updated version. It's over three years now since it set off so it may be degraded by its nomadic lifestyle.

maybe users of it should report as to how they get on with it ? There would be no point posting it all over the place if it no longer works :shrug:

Or it could be perfectly fine, and just a couple of users have problems .

Got this on Tuesday afet patiently waiting for ages along with everyone else. Plugged it in, put in th edisc and BOOOM, it doesn't work on my new Imac. I now see the funny side. Cant seem to get anywhere with it, no doubt my fault. Anyhow MTXFIESTA pm ME YOUR ADDRESS.

Is it just you couldn't get it working on your iMac or is it not supported on mac altogether..?
 
It is probably just me but I can't get it to work with my Imac at all, even downloaded the software from Spyder. Will be posting it to next on the list on Monday.
