Sorry about that...the Spyder has been doing the rounds for over 2 years now and Win 7 probably wasn't even conceived at that time.
It seems that it's not supported officially but there may be a workaround
See this thread on another forum and especially post #9.
Don't feel you have to rush this as anything you discover may be useful to others in the queue.

Thanks Bob, the link proved helpful.

So for all other 64-bit Windows 7 users, install the Spyder 2 Express 2.3.6 file (and run keygen), that somebody kindly burned to an included CD. Typical this was the only install on all the included disks, that I didn't try last night, anyway all sorted, thanks again.

Can I just ask those that have used it (I should get it early next week), did you find holding it on the screen marks it in any way as I have never handled one of these and don't really know how they are constructed etc:thinking:

Can we confirm the situation regarding Windows 7 (both 32 and 64 bit)...? I'm getting the impression that there's now suitable software for Windows 7 yet, or is that just the 64 bit version?

My new graphics card arrives tomorrow but I can confirm it works OK with Windows 7 64 bit so can't see why 32 bit would be an issue.
 
thanks for the offer canon bob but could I be removed from the lists iam nearly to the top and now I have printer problems I think I need a new one thanks anyway

btw. I assume somone has mentioned that the main disc (not the cdrs) has some major cracks in it? I hope that noone decides to try it as it's going to explode into a million peices of someone does. :/

Recieved today from Chenko. Unfortunatley i am going on holiday tomorrow eve (im a teacher and its half term) so i wont get a chance to do the calibration before i go. I had a quick attempt, but couldnt get it to work. Really sorry for the delay guys (bad timing im afraid). I will PM Fordpop and get a delivery addresses for him and will post at very latest a week on wednesday. Again i sincerely apologise for the bad timing.

Has anyone got the Spyder working with Win 7 32bit because i have the SPyder infornt of me at the moment but i cannot get it to work. I go throught the spyder 2 pro software, but when i select Spyder 2 from the list of sensors it says this application does not work with the original spyder, a spyder two is required!

Any ideas guys?
 
Sorry if im missing something but shouldn't you be using spyder 1 software if you have a spyder 1 with you? :shrug:
 
The only one i that was there to select was Spyder 2.
Couldent get it working...
