Ive read the reviews on photography pages ... I've read recommendations .... Ive researched
I'm still no better off :-(

I want a new monitor. It needs to be 27" or thereabouts for use with PS. I'll have my 24" LG as a secondary monitor.
I understand I may have to pay serious money, i.e. up to £1k, but none of the "best monitor" reviews I have read seem to draw any positive conclusion that would make me want to spend that money.

Any suggestions please and reasons why?

My studio is happily equipped with 3x 27" Apple Cinema Displays.

Thanks all, looking at LG nigpd, theres a later model out at 31.5" albeit around £800 ......... The LG34UC97, you use that for image work UaeExile? It looks like a gaming monitor

Yup. It's now my main monitor after smashing the screen of my MBP. Absolutely love it and can't see me ever using a "normal" monitor again. Comes with some calibration certificate out of the box.

Perfect for having two separate windows, which for me is normally Lightroom and Web browsing. When I'm not editing I have two web windows open, one with my work email/calender and other photography related tabs, and the other for personal Facebook, forums etc....makes me ultra efficient.
