I got one for Christmas (a cheapy Jessops one) and it's never been out of the box. It looks ok though...

I use mine for motorsport , keeps the camera at eyeline all the time for quick 'incidents'

That's what I want one for, as I've knackered my left arm so holding a big lens is not so clever at the moment.

I've had very light weight Slik one for umteen years, it gets used now and again when I'm out walking and don't want to lug the tripod around, it can double as a walking stick too if needed.

Davey it's 20 odd years old so no idea, but it's almost identical to this one, except it's silver not black

Ive got a manfrotto 680DB, Ive used it quite a few times, very good for the money £33.

Got two - a Manfrotto alloy one and a new Manfrotto carbon one. Carbon one's dreamy. Ideal for the 300 or the 600mm on long jobs.
