The MSV circuits have now published their 2019 calendars, which can be found here:

https://shop.msv.com/Calendar

Sadly, they don't seem to be publishing an ICS file this year so you can add it to your calendar app.

I find the google calendars available from Pat on https://toomuchracing.com/calendar/ to be really useful - multiple series and lots of useful information to save you looking for it yourself.

The HSCC also publish an ics file here:

https://hscc.org.uk/events/?ical=1&tribe_display=list

If anyone else has any useful 2019 calendar links, please post them.

Has a comprehensive list

Things like autotests and trials can be a good way to improve things like panning shots.

Whatever motor sport you decide to go and take photographs at enjoy it, but stay safe.

Generally yes and the same applies to most circuits. But some are closed, if for instance a company/team are testing something a bit different. A quick call will usually give you the answer.

Yes you can usually. If it's a private test it will usually say Private Event on the Oulton Park website daily calendar. Open test days you can go in and spectate for nothing

I see. Do you get a mixed bag of categories on open test days?

Generally yes. You may get a team in say clios testing a new driver or a club racer getting in some more miles or testing/bedding in a new engine etc. You really just don't know what or who will be there.

You might get three Clios and a couple of Formula Ford 1600 cars, or you might get most of the British GT and F3 or BTCC field turning up alongside some historic stuff. Try and have a look at various major series rulebooks around testing at venues prior to race meetings.

For example I think the rule in British GT is that you can't test at a venue within two weeks of the race meeting date. If you look for an open test day two or three weeks before the meeting there's a fairly high chance you'll see a lot of GT teams out testing.
