i've recently ordered and paid for the pro version of Mr Site to get my missus' new business started - i went for the pro version as it has stock control and a few other nifty bits of kit with it. Anyway, i paid via paypal and ordered the boxed version rather than a download... 3 weeks later.. nothing. Rang them and they said... 'i'll send another'.... 1 week later... nothing. i rang them and they said 'i'll give you a verification code... just enter that and you're away'. They did.. and i'm up and running happily creating a new website. However, now i've found that the email setup won't work at all (pop3.. very simple to set up)... i rang them, they said everything is fine and they'll reset it. 2 days later.. still doesn't work!
At 20p per minute to speak to them (which is the 'pro version' privilige) i'm getting a bit of a nark on.

Anyone else used them? How was it for you?
Maybe i should have started a new thread with those questions as the title about a month ago :bonk:

the only reason really was so that it would be very easy for my wife to monitor and maintain it once it was up and running - i just didn't want to have to be 'on call' at every moment of the day when i've got my own business to run. she's going to be selling gifts for girls kind of thing.... make up, jewellery, candles, chocolates... all that sort of stuff and i wanted something that (without being patronising coz she'd kill me) she could use herself.

i have use them asi got a pro pack asa xmas gift.......like you said loads of email probs and when i didn't renew i lost my domain as i hasd to register it to their servers and i was unable to get it back...won't do that again!!!!

Mr site are rubbish in my opinion, there are loads of better options than them on the market. I would stay well clear from past experience

I used to use Mr Site, and yes it did the job, quite a good one. It would allow clients to order photos and download the hi-res JPEG which was really handy. The downside with it was hosting space, it's not much. Mr Site store 3 versions of each photo in the shop. Hi-res, watermarked, low-res which uses up a fair bit of your hosting space. I'm currently using Byethost, but for a beginner I think Mr Site is a good solution.
