Tonnes of room for improvement from a photographing and processing perspective but I'm not overly disappointed.

Looks great to me

Just been away in France with the family and managed to try my first attempt at it too

Don't think it was that good but looking forward to getting home and downloading my shots on to my laptop

Very nice Ian, better than I could do I'm sure.
What was the settings for this?

Cheers guys. This was a 60 second shot at ISO 5000, F/3.5 10mm

@McPikie without seeing the full res image its hard to say, but it does look like there is a little bit of trailing......
If applying the 500 rule and shooting straight at Polaris, then it would need to be under 50 secs to avoid star trails.

Well worth the effort @IanClark Its great when you get a break in the clouds and the skies are dark enough!

@McPikie There are some trails there however they're only noticeable if you have a good old squint at it :). Shooting at 10mm kinda helps reduce the visibility of them a touch.

@Geoff Moore Thank you, I nede to try and get to a dark sky site again and soon. :)
