Well not exactly new, even to me. I was given it about 30 years ago and came across it again tonight looking for something else.

It's quite sophisticated. Fixed focal length, 4 apertures, 2 shutter speeds (instant and timed), variable viewfinder for landscape or portrait and very compact. I haven't figured out where the memory card goes yet though. seriously I would quite like to try it with film but haven't the faintest idea how to get film into it. It suggest using Kodak Film A127.

Looks like 127 film is available. It takes 65 x 45 mm shots. I found a pdf of the user manual online so I now know how to work it. Just need to get some film now and see how much of a lash up I can make.

Have you ever read Dorothy L. Sayers whodunnit, "Have his carcase"? There is a description of the heroine (Harriet Vane) using a Vest-pocket Kodak to photograph the body and various details as evidence for the police before the body gets washed away by the tide. At one point she "racked the lens out to its fullest extension" to take a close-up.

The book is great fun if you like 1930s crime fiction, and very well written. :)

What is the thing that looks like a stylus? Some kind of pencil for making notes? The bellows probably leak light but you might be able to fix it.

My first camera as a child (a Brownie) took 127 film. The size is not really quite big enough for contact prints, though.

If you look at the back of the camera there is a slide, after taking the shot you opened this and used the stylus to write on a special format of the film. The A in the film designation stood for "Autographic".

The bellows look in good nick so and don't appear to leak any light.
