Yes
I am just starting out in DSLR photography so for Xmas I asked for a Gorilla pod and this bag. Now I have my kit in it:

Samsung GX1l with 18-55 and 50-200 lenses (you might notice I have fitted the camera with a KPS 1.3X magnification eyepiece)

Ricoh GX1l compact
Braun Paxette rangefinder
Spare 35mm film
AAs and charger
Filters
Remote
Bonus tabletop tripod
(the gorilla pod is in the top section)

Cheers!

Meh who cares where it is :D Havnt seen a Samsung owner in a while as well. Nice kit you got, good place to put it all, which reminds me I need to get one. That kit is great to start out in, everything you need.

Thanks Andy - I really like this camera. Had some fun learning how to use it. My friends from Germany and Canada came to visit recently so it gave me a good opportunity to be a 'tourist' in my home city of Oxford, so had a lot of fun trying it out in the snow, sun, dull grey and extreme cold! You can see some snaps on my Flickr in my sig.

Cheers

Had a quick look, and loving the stunk museum 3 photo. My favouite.

Very nice, which version of Fastpack is that?

I like Lowepro bags, great quality and good value too. I have the Fastpack 350 and it is an excellent backpack for carrying around camera stuff, a laptop (and/or books etc) and space for a lunchbox in the top. Shame there's no tripod attachment, but overall it's a great bag. I also have a Nova 3AW for traveling light (well, lighter than a full backpack!)

This is the 200. The 'extras' section at the top is about big enough for a book and a waterproof.. to be honest the 350 would probably suit me better if I could take my laptop too, but this is great for small excursions!

Good purchase - I've been thankful for exactly the same bag for a good few months now. The bottom section keeps my Nikon D40 with the 18-55mm on, a separate 55-200mm, a Jessops 360AFD flash, whole set of filters and the filter holders, SD cards and a few other bits and bobs (lens pen, microfibre cloth etc.) and the top section leaves me space for a map, cagoule, lunch, spare point and shoot camera and a mobile phone. Fantastic!

Which Gorillapod did you opt for? I'm going to get myself one for those trips where I don't want/need a big tripod and the hassle setting it up and I've heard a few worries that the non-zoom model isn't strong enough for a camera and lens.

Thanks folks. I have since rearranged the bag a bit as I have taken it out to find what works - I have also got a 55mm prime lens now which fits in the section with the other lens. I hold spare B/W film in the top bit.

I got the SLR Zoom gorillapod which really is very strong, it holds 3kg comfortably. It almost holds my fathers broadcasting TV camera which weighs a lot. It's probably too strong for my needs (my camera is very light) but nice to know when I get a massive zoom lens it'll hold that too!

Happy new year everyone

I got mine for a Christmas present that I bought myself too and used it in anger for the first time over the Christmas break. Really impressed with it.
Was getting a sore back with my Crumpler Jimmy Bo 500 so got the FB200.
I put a padlock through the main zipper and positioned the zippers under the flap so that it is not exposed to pick pockets on the train (if that makes sense!).
Lots of handy little pockets and mesh areas etc in the bag for all your nick-nacks too eh.
