Never has a ball created such a storm.
This is the one that went to auction in 2012 purporting to be the one hit for six sixes in one over by Sir Gary Sobers off Malcolm Nash in Swansea in 1968.
It was first auctioned in 2006 for £22,000 and although signed and authenticated by Sobers, doubts were raised whether it was the right ball.
Glamorgan used Surridge balls and this is a Duke, used by Northamptonshire.
It may well be that the balls got mixed up in Sobers' cricket bag.
It was withdrawn from sale in the 2012 auction.
