This goes out to anyone who owns an N97,

the camera slider is operated by a magnetic switch and is affected by cases that have a magnetic latch, it took me a while to figure out why the camera kept coming on and draining the battery in next to no time :bang:

anyways it was being caused by the magnet in the case I've got :bonk:

Nothing too serious just a word of advise if you are having the same problem

Kind Regards

just another word of warning the little unlock button on the side is very fragile!! I have had my phone a few months and it just came off the other day... it is held on by the tiniest little stalk possible not good design for something used constantly!!

Cheers for the heads up on the side switch, somthing i'll have to keep an eye on in the future :)

is the iPhone any better, (dives for cover)

More Apps for the Iphone as far as i can see, in operation, not really any different tbh, although i prefer the keyboard to touch screen qwerty board on the Iphone. But i got my N97 for free on my same contract, where's the Iphone needed an higher primium and still an upfront charge. Being a tight git i went N97.

i had the n97 when it was released and it drove me mad
i nearly stamped on it twice when it was playing up
it was so slow and frustrating with not enough memory to run things smoothly
sold it and got an iphone 3gs and my world is a calmer place
