Need Exif editor that does Sub Folders

I desperatly need some software that will batch set the iptc fields/exif data and include sub folders

Any ideas of software you know will do this?
 
Have you looked at faststone Tony..it is PC only though.
 
Been using faststone for years mate.. doesnt do what I am asking at all.
 
Lightroom will, but it'd require import and then export afterwards, which I suspect would rather defeat what you are trying to achieve; ie easy of use and speed.

There's an outside possibility that Bridge may be able to batch across subfolders, but I'm not sure.
 
Just checked...

Photo Mechanic will do it.

You need to open a contact sheet with the right click option: 'Open Folder and Subfolders in New Contact Sheet'

Edit for clarity...


and then apply apply a pre-saved stationary pad to all the relevant files.

Bridge just greys everything out if folders are selected :(

would like to batch change all my pics to one exif for going online... cant seem to find anything :(
 
looks like you might have it there :) I wouldnt have known... just tried the open sub folders and its showing all the pics in the window without folders... should work

I didn't know myself until I tried it just now!

Useful bit of know how to tuck away at the back of the head, for exactly the same reasons that you need to do it! :)
