Hi everyone, am very much a newbie in fact I've been shooting about 8 months now and want to get better. Came across a site called www.photosenselondon.com last month, basically you upload your photos to the site and they get to projected them on the wall to an audience, and you get feedback from attending photographers. Here is a link to my uploads on their site. http://www.photosenselondon.com/index.php/gallery/category/39-innocent-adriko-pow-october.html

One thing I kept hearing was the need to work on my composition, perspective and angles for variation. Over to you:-):help:

That's a good idea, do you have to pay to have your pictures shown?

I've just had a look through your stuff. The blur is terrible, completely takes me away from the actual picture, I feel like I'm squinting to see the image. I presume that you add this in PP as it doesn't look like depth of field to me.

Blown out backgrounds are also something which does nothing for me.

I think that you need to fix these problems before even starting to change your composition.

i would say forget the lens gimmicks and really get to grips with basics
exposure variations and their effects...speed and aperture
composition is either felt or seen...some compositions are too way out for me..too avant garde..
i like the tension of misplaced thirds and low and high horizons
just rotating the camera doesnt do it for me

you have a good sense of personal contact..so i would concentrate on the portraiture and street scenery
if you get into the countryside you may be able to stretch a bit in the landscape area

cheers
geof
