Nest

This isn't a photo of an actual creature but it is the habitat of one. It's a wasp nest and was an active one this Summer. I photographed it today in the hedge where it was made.
This was pretty much as close as I could get to it using the Canon 50mm compact macro lens on the 6D.

Flat light, yes, but it was to document the wasp's nest. It's something that I've never happened across before.
pingpong, the wasp's nest is the grey subject that's intertwined deep in the hedge.
