A few weeks ago I finally got round to getting an external hard drive - a Seagate 1TB GoFlex desk. It backed everything up and that was fine. I don't always have it turned on as it was slowing my already rather slow computer up by trying to back up quite often so I thought I could do a weekly back up.
At some point in the past week or so I started getting an 'Unhandled exception' message and 'Object reference not set to an instance of an object'.
A friend tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Microsoft .NET Framework to be the same version as the software uses, and that hasn't worked and he also tried a System Restore and it wouldn't restore.
I can still access the external hard drive with no problem, its just the automatic back up software that won't work.
Any suggestions or advice?
