im looking to get a netbook in the next month or so.
im looking for something that i can use to take to kenya with me.
i would use it to store images so looking for a high capacity harddrive at least 160gb.
i would be looking to run photoshop elements 7 aswell just to do minor edititing, and possible run the canon software that came with my 450d
good battery life

looking to buy brand new up to £350

can you throw some ideas at me :thumbs:
 
I'm in the same position, well about buying a netbook not going to Kenya. For battery life i think that the Samsung NC10 cant be beaten, up to 6.5hrs battery life out of the 6 cell version. Be carefull though, there are different battery versions out, 3 cell and 6 cell. The cheapest 6 cell i've seen is under £270 at e-buyer(hope its ok to name mods)
It also boasts 1gb ram and 160gb hard drive plus wi-fi and bluetooth. I'm just tight and waiting for the price to drop lower for Xmas maybe, or i would have bought one by now.:lol:
 
I just bought the small Acer from ebuyer (this one) it was reduced to £199.99 from £280, has Intel Atom N280, 1GB ram, 160GB hard disk.

Additional batteries can be picked up on ebay from £30-£50.
 
There's going to be a ton of Windows 7 ones out tomorrow, so there may be a sale of XP ones.

Couple of mates have Samsung NC10's, just about the best 10" one still. I am waiting to see what 12" ones come, the one I like best so far is this Asus one.
