Netflix vs Lovefilm?

I've just gone for the free months subscription on Netflix (streaming to my Apple TV) and going to compare it again my Lovefilm which I've had for years. I would miss option to rent the odd game (currently got BF3 sat there waiting for me to tryout, but can't get off MW3) but saving around £14/month might pursuade me to cancel my Lovefilm.


Has anyone else tried it out yet? Any Lovefilmers gonna do the swap?
 
Netflix has tv progs and b****r all films. It is pretty pants!

We have been on lovefilm for years, most films are there and various tv series are available on disc. The online catalogue is growing and for films has a much bigger choice compared to netflix.

Netflix will grow and improve, but they are both signing exclusive deals so we will probably have both so we can get access to everything.
 
I've looked at both and I think the key thing for me would be that Lovefilm downloads are not in HD...
 
I'm on Lovefilm (unlimited rentals, 2 discs at a time package) and I'm amazed that you still have to pay an additional fee for some of the download films. I haven't looked in to Netflix really yet though so I won't be changing for a while.
My worry with Netflix is that I would probably forget to use it, whereas a lovefilm DVD arriving in the post makes me watch it.

Might lower my Lovefilm package and stick with both then, but Lovefilm have bumped me up to 4 discs at a time, arghhhh :bang:

Like that Netflix is on the Apple TV which makes things simpler, but then again I have been a bit let down in the functionality of the box. Dam you Apple and your tied down functionality lol

Why don't they makethings simpler :cuckoo:
 
I have my Apple TV cracked using ATV Flash they have versions for both the original & black. Helps with streaming a lot & using Netfix
 
I got month of netflix for free as well. UK one is rubbish.
but managed to fool mine on WD TV LIVE and have US one which is miles better!!
