UPS van just left!

One happy Wail here ... box with 17" new unibody MBP is being opened as I type this.

So, the shipping date that Apple originally gave is, in fact, the delivery date.

Well done Apple

Now, excuse me while I go to check this out.

im surprised there is no series of pics unveiling the beast... why not share the love

Excellent, I am now officially jealous :) although my 17" macbook pro 's spec is not much different I do like the unibody! Posty has just delivered me a new camera though!

Sorry no pictures now, am too busy playing with the thing to hold a camera :)

Specification wise, this is the stock model with the 320GB 7200rpm hard drive.

The problem now, my family are nagging me to upgrade their machines .. they've been doing this for the past few days and now that I have this in my hands the fight is heating up.

Just under £1,700, buying it as a student :p

See told you it was worth waiting for the 17" version ! (y)

Just think, this morning you could be sat using a 3 week old 15" macbook pro or sat with a shiny new 17" macbook pro.

You really can't beat them

The 17" macbook pro is quite simply the best laptop on the planet bar none!!

and don't you just love that 1920x1200 resolution :)

:) it sure is sexy!

Oh yes, well worth the wait ... thank you for keeping me focused (y)

Any idea where I can find my Airport MAC address?

Got it .. thank you.

Sorry, but with the new toy at hand, my brains' gone into hyper mode :p

By the way, the last post and this one are now from the new MBP :)

Seriously, thank you cowasaki .. you were the only one who kept telling me to wait! Well worth every bit of the wait.

:)

Thank you for the link. I want to go and start to install my applications .. but am too busy playing to do that.

I don't tend to use many different applications. I only have these: -

1. Office 2008 (thank you M$ for giving us a wonderful all-n-one package)
2. Endnote 2X
3. Lightroom 2 (going to sell my Aperture copy)
4. Elements (I had to go with this, will explain later)
5. Firefox (but will tryout Opera)
6. ChronoSync (for back-up)
7. cowasaki Photoshop border script (y)

So, time for me to go and get these installed :)

:)

Thank you for that (y) I will surely look into it.
